Marleen’s story

My position as HR Team coordinator is extremely varied. I get so much energy from my job. At Human Resources we deal with different themes such as absence, personal development and recruitment and selection. I always imagine that we have a HR shop. I determine the product lines for the shop and I look at the needs and requirements of the organisation as a whole.

For me the best things about Arvato are the dynamism, the informal atmosphere and our teamwork. Our team is close and consists of colleagues with different backgrounds. One of them has a legal background, the other studied communication or psychology. We make each other complete. Taking initiative, personal development and a strong team spirit are the most important things for me. In our HR-shop everyone gets the chance to work on specific themes. Some of us are specialist in absence, some of us in legislation. And if you work on a theme that gives you energy, we get the best results. 

Making a plan and having a vision are things that I myself have learned at Arvato. I can allow myself to be guided by all the things that happen throughout the day, but then I miss the big picture. Sometimes, when I'm riding my bike to work early in the morning, I come up with long-term plans. That's when I'm able to take a look at the entire thing with fresh eyes, so that I'm be ready for unexpected things in the future. That's my goal.

We are Arvato

We are Arvato and we are all different. Some of us just finished school, some of us took up work again after having children, some are students combining work and study and some are experienced customer service representatives who have been working in the branch for years. We might seem different and we might vary in age. But we are all colleagues and we enjoy working together. We learn from each other and love working in an open and informal atmosphere where everyone’s opinion matters. During lunch we share experiences and have a laugh and in the summer we party together.
