Leoniek's story

Seven years ago I came to Arvato for the first time. Not in the logistics branche, but at Arvato Customer Services. For many years I enjoyed advising citizens via phone, e-mail and Twitter, but two years ago I was ready for a new challenge. I found it within Arvato, but in the Supply Chain Management (logistics) branch.

As a Service Delivery Officer I'm responsible for the entire logistics process: from the moment that we receive an order through to when the order is delivered to the client. I'm the first point of contact for various parties; I have plenty of contact with the client, the warehouse, the account manager, and transporters. All day long I'm busy trying to resolve sticking points and optimise processes.

The logistics industry is a hectic environment. The pressure of work can be high; the work must be done quickly and accurately. I see it as a challenge and it gives me a huge amount of energy to resolve ad hoc issues quickly and well. I’ve also brought a wealth full of experience with me from my time at Arvato Customer Services. I'm used to working with targets. In my current position I also make a lot of use of the communication skills that I developed as a customer service representative. Other than that, the two industries are completely different. Which one do I like better? Customer Service has a place in my heart, but in logistics I've found my true passion!
