Robin's story

As a team leader I work for our client Zalando in Maastricht, I have both direct and indirect influence on people's development. For me the best thing about my job is the variety. I have to maintain an overview of everything and call attention to what's happening at the team level to guarantee the best results. The team level is linked to results of every customer service representative. In addition to that, I keep an eye on the individual; how can I ensure that people grow?

My personal approach is aligned with Arvato's vision. We take a 'green' approach, always using the human aspect as our starting point: working together on clear goals, maintaining open communication, and allowing people to reflect on their own responsibilities. These basic elements are also something that I encourage in my team. Ultimately I manage the customer service staff, but they're the ones who do the work – and then you get a real buzz from what you achieve together!

Obviously I don't create that buzz by myself; I do it together with my colleagues. The people I'd walk through fire for, and they'd do it for me too. We have faith in each other, in the project and in the company. Together we're one.

Throughout your time at Arvato, we provide further training and personal coaching to help you improve your service to the clients. You can also count on the other team members. There is always a helping hand if needed.

Some of us just finished school, some of us took up work again after having children, some are students combining work. We might seem different, but we are all colleagues and we enjoy working together. We learn from each other and love working in an open and informal atmosphere where everyone’s opinion matters.
