The VP, Product Management, Learning & Performance provides product leadership working with customers, users, stakeholders, engineering and content development teams. This role provides broad, hands-on leadership with the strategy, design, development, and rollout of Relias’ learning and performance products.  This role reports directly to the head of the Product Management organization (Chief Product Officer).



Lead product management efforts for our learning & performance products, including: 

•    Driving overall product strategy, product roadmap and execution for our core learning and performance products.
•    Manage a team that is responsible for ongoing research of emerging trends, competitor movement and adjacent industry influences to identify opportunities for learning and performance products in the healthcare provider market.
•    Prioritizing opportunities based on market driven problems and maintaining a strategic narrative to keep executives and key stakeholders informed.
•    Leading on- and offshore development teams to build cutting edge software products.
•    Using data from internal and external sources to assess the market viability of new product offerings and features.
•    Owning the product backlog and maintain processes for prioritizing features, assembling product OKRs, and partnering with Engineering and Content Development to execute on software development milestones and overall execution.
•    Being the customer advocate within the team; understanding deeply how customers get value from their products through instrumentation and direct feedback. Working closely with stakeholders and customers to prioritize new product development and resolve issues.
•    Managing pilot deployments and working closely with customers and stakeholders to get early feedback and input.
•    Support M&A product due diligence processes for potential acquisitions, and support integration efforts of the relevant people and operations of the acquired entities and business segments. 
•    Manages and is accountable for the financial performance of the product line; including developing the revenue and profitability targets, and tracking to forecast 
•    Partnering with the Client Success and Marketing teams to understand product adoption and success via KPIs, ensuring the customer viewpoint is understood. 
•    Working with stakeholders to articulate the value proposition and differentiators for our core learning and performance products.  Supporting go-to-market (GTM) strategies led by Marketing and tied to product development. Collaborating with executive leadership, Marketing, Sales, Support, Client Care, and other teams to ensure all priorities are understood and considered.
•    Coaching and providing constructive feedback via Relias performance management processes (i.e., 1:1s, quarterly reviews) to PM team members to enable them to professionally grow, do their best work, be held accountable to goals and deadlines, and proactively communicate well with the rest of the PM and broader Relias team.
•    Looking for opportunities to professionally develop the PM team members internally as well as externally. 
•    Other duties as assigned.


•    12+ years of proven experience rapidly building and scaling product management teams.
•    8+ years in a leadership position.
•    Experience working with SaaS technologies.
•    Experience working cross-functionally, especially with marketing disciplines and sales 

•    Bachelor's degree, or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and 10 years of professional work experience in the product management field. 

•    Demonstrated record of successfully strategizing, leading, and executing product launches for new learning products.
•    Expert experience with agile software development processes and customer discovery.
•    Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
•    Ability to apply a strategic, KPI/metrics-driven mindset.
•    Flexible, cross-functional team player, especially with marketing and sales disciplines, comfortable with a fast-paced, often ambiguous, continually evolving environment.
•    Strong executive presence and customer-facing skills.
•    Ability to positively influence others at all of levels in the organization, including cross-functional leaders and the executive suite.
•    Excellent writing skills.
•    Strong presentation skills with ability to educate and inspire small groups as well as large conferences and online audiences.
•    Excellent organization and people skills, with the ability to set priorities, get buy-in, problem-solve, multi-task, and work well independently.
•    Exceptional communication, prioritization, collaboration and time management skills.




•    Healthcare experience
•    Specific domain knowledge of learning technologies (e.g., LMS, LXP)
