SUMMARY:

 

The Vice President of Consumer Growth leads the consumer marketing teams across Nurse.com and Relias’ other consumer-facing properties, along with indirect responsibility over the product, sales, and client care teams focused on Nurse.com success. They are an entrepreneurial leader with digital consumer business acumen as well as demonstrated success in consumer audience capture and engagement.  This role, in partnership with the Vice President, Community Sales, the Director, Product Management, and the Director, Consumer Growth, requires a strong propensity for visionary planning paired with critical thinking, the ability to interpret market trends and translate them into a proven path to brand growth. With a budget of $20M and 23 direct reports, the VP of Consumer Growth will be responsible for approximately $27M of Revenue in 2024. 

 

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

 

Commercialization of Recruiting and other Advertising Solutions

  • Drive overall commercialization strategy, roadmap, and execution for Nurse.com and other consumer focused brands.
  • Manage the budget for Nurse.com and other brands, overseeing financial performance and reporting to executives and business stakeholders.
  • Prioritize opportunities based on market driven intelligence, leveraging internal, outsourced, and partner resources to realize the ideal path to product growth and engagement.
  • Drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversions through holistic consumer engagement, with a focus on modern marketing channels and recruiting trends.
  • Analyze consumer performance to refine publisher advertising, hosting, and monetization strategies.
  • Build an internal agency team to provide recruiters with targeted media buying campaigns that leverage owned behavioral data for exceptional nurse engagement.
  • Collaborate with teams on market, product, and consumer intelligence to understand member preferences and experiences.

 

Consumer Audience Acquisition, Retention and Expansion 

  • Oversee the growth strategies that will result in the successful achievement of Nurse.com’s Recruiting and Advertising goals.
  • Manage a team of consumer marketers, with dotted-line responsibility for additional teams, to improve multi-channel consumer solutions that reach more nurses and drive active engagement across the Nurse.com Community, Job Board, and Education products.
  • Manage channel growth tests, campaigns, and reporting aligned with Nurse.com and other brands’ goals, with a focus on programmatic video, influencer, and social expansion.

 

Building a Modern Publisher Platform 

  • Coordinate internal, cross-functional stakeholders to develop a modern, data-driven publisher platform capable of personalized recommendations, advertising engagement, and producing high-value behavioral analytics.
  • Utilize customer data platform, CRM, GenerativeAI, and other automation solutions to determine opportunities to growth consumer reach and engagement.
  • Bring analytics offering to market that package nurse audiences and insights for advertisers, recruiters, and healthcare organizations.
  • Align cross-functional teams from engineering, data & analytics, sales, client care, business systems, and finance to strategic priorities and goals.

 

Consumer Growth Partnerships

  • Collaborate with industry partners, nursing associations, and healthcare institutions to increase job listings while expanding nurse audience and engagement.
  • Manage the strategy to expand external relationships with content creators, thought leaders, and nursing educators.
  • Partner with internal teams to select vendors that will swiftly activate ATS and other relevant integrations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare organizations, educational institutions, and professional associations on partnerships that increase brand value.

 

 

YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:

  • 15+ years experience building and scaling consumer properties
  • 8+ years minimum experience leading cross-functional business teams
  • Experience working with big data, GenAI, and user-based communities
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field
  • Successful record of strategizing, leading, and executing growth launches for consumer properties.
  • Strong business acumen and financial understanding with demonstrated entrepreneurial success.
  • Strong strategic planner with a proven track record of driving results and scaling marketing efforts for consumer-focused websites and ecommerce brands.
  • Demonstrated success in programmatic performance improvement, modern marketing technologies, and MarTech stack optimization, with a focus on rapid growth.
  • Expertise in growth channel optimization, with an emphasis on testing and rapid data-decisioning, as well as experience employing GenAI and innovative approaches.
  • Expert experience with agile software development processes and customer discovery
  • Ability to apply a strategic, KPI/metrics-driven mindset.
  • Ability to positively influence others at all of levels in the organization, including cross-functional leaders and the executive suite.
  • Flexible, cross-functional team player, comfortable with fast-paced and continually evolving environments.
  • Exceptional organization and people skills, with the ability to set priorities, get buy-in, problem-solve, and think critically.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

IN OFFICE REQUIREMENT:

Relias values collaboration and wants to ensure that our team members have opportunities to work with their teams regularly for professional development opportunities. Our flexible hybrid work environment requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office (~1-hour commute). You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 30/40 days/quarter.
