We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Business Analyst to join our IT department at Relias. The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in driving IT projects forward through effective business analysis, scrum master responsibilities, and product ownership.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

  • Conduct analysis of business processes, systems, and workflows.
  • Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders across various departments.
  • Analyze and translate business needs into actionable IT requirements and solutions.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure solutions align with business goals.
  • Facilitate requirements workshops, meetings, and presentations.
  •  Assume Scrum Master responsibilities for identified teams
  • Guide and coach the teams on Scrum practices and Agile methodologies.
  • Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Remove impediments to team progress and escalate issues as needed.
  • Act as Product Owner for identified teams. 
  • Define and prioritize product backlogs based on business value.
  • Communicate vision and goals for the products to the development teams.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and gather feedback.
  • Make decisions regarding the scope and priorities of development work.

 

YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, scrum or product ownership, with a track record of successfully delivering technology projects.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is required.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in technical projects.
  • Previous experience as a Scrum Master and/or Product Owner is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (such as Jira and Confluence)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. 

 

IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU HAD:

  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) and/or Scrum (e.g., CSM, CSPO) is a plus

IN OFFICE REQUIREMENT:

Relias values collaboration and wants to ensure that our team members have opportunities to work with their teams regularly for professional development opportunities. Our flexible hybrid work environment requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office (~1-hour commute). You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 30/40 days/quarter.
