The HR Assistant serves as the first point of contact for initial HR inquiries and procedures encompassing key areas of the employee life cycle including onboarding, and employee benefits. This role also supports the team on HRIS changes and basic reporting.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

 •            HR Inbox Management - monitor and manage the HR inbox ensuring timely responses to employee inquiries providing accurate information on HR-related matters such as procedures, policies and basic employee benefits.  Prioritize and escalate issues as needed to the appropriate member of the team. 

•             Benefits Billing & Enrollment – Assist in processing, tracking and auditing employee benefits and benefits billing, ensuring accurate and timely submission to relevant vendors and internal departments. Assist employees with new benefits enrollments, life events, and participate in the open enrollment process.

•             HRIS Entry & Recordkeeping – Enter and update employee information in UKG (HRIS) including onboarding, employee data changes, and benefits enrollments.  Ensure the accuracy and completeness of records.

•             Leave Administration – Support the employee leave of absence process, including tracking employee leaves and paperwork, compliance with legal requirements, and notifications of internal departments.

•             Reporting – Provide basic weekly and monthly reporting to assist with employee census and change tracking.

•             Other Duties as assigned.

 

 

YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:

•             Intermediate proficiency in Excel, including experience with pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting.

•             Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

•             Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•             High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality

•             Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of teams and individuals.

•             1 year of experience in an administrative, customer service or HR position.

•             Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

 

IT WOULD BE IDEAL IF YOU HAVE:

•             Previous experience with UKG/HRIS

IN OFFICE REQUIREMENT:

Relias values collaboration and wants to ensure that our team members have opportunities to work with their teams regularly for professional development opportunities. Our flexible hybrid work environment requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office (~1-hour commute). You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 30/40 days/quarter.
