A key member of the Enterprise Architecture team, you will lead the overall design of Relias data and information architectures for business and technology projects related to cloud, mobile, and digital applications. We are looking for a solution minded accomplished Data Architect who is passionate about all aspects of Enterprise Architecture domains to define and design the management of data in a microservices cloud-based distributed data architecture optimized for performance while maintaining   data integrity and data consistency. 



  • Working alongside product teams, product owners, data scientists, application architects, and other functional leads to effectively design the conceptual, logical, and physical data models encompassing the evolving enterprise data models
  • Following microservices design principles, exploring the existing monolithic database and all data sources, designing and creating data models and blueprints to create a unified data strategy for monolith to microservices transformation
  • Implementing modernized data architecture, metadata management, data quality, and leading the enterprise information and data integration strategy architectures
  • Participating in enterprise architecture governance practice and activities (i.e., Architecture Working Group and Architecture Review Board)
  • Serving as a data evangelist, being the subject matter expert of data governance and data management across the organization 
  • Working closely and collaborating with the product teams, engineering teams, and other internal business stakeholders in identifying data requirements by clearly articulating the transitional/target architectures and technical environments
  • Analyzing existing application and services portfolios, assisting in the development and alignment of data architecture and strategy roadmap
  • Conducting cloud data services architecture review/audit 
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of data technologies and best practices in data industry 


  • A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience as an architect or technical leader for large-scale, cloud-based software products and platforms
  • A minimum of 5 years as a data architect in a lead capacity
  • 3+ years architecting and designing data solutions preferably built on Azure or GCP
  • A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field
  • Industry experience in cloud computing design patterns and cloud PaaS offerings 
  • Hands-on experience and expertise in application, data, and cloud computing architecture and services, preferably Azure and GCP 
  • Must have architected applications using APIs, Event-Driven, and Microservice design patterns
  • Knowledge of Container Orchestrators such as Kubernetes and Service Mesh infrastructure layer is a plus
  • Experience with AI and machine learning is a plus
  • Good to have Cloud Computing Certifications, preferably Azure and GCP
  • Experience in working in a start-up environment and/or in healthcare industry is nice to have
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, architecting, building highly scalable and performant data solutions in the public cloud, preferably Azure and GCP 
  • Proficiency in data modeling, model types design, and data modeling process  
  • Cloud data services such Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, MongoDB, and cloud storage services
  • Proven experience in NoSQL, relational (MS SQL, PostgreSQL are preferred), and in-memory databases   
  • Expert ability to evaluate, perform POC, and recommend emerging cloud data technologies    
  • Experience implementing data quality guidelines, standards, and procedures    
  • Deep understanding of data architecture, design, and business processes, especially in a modern cloud environment using API-Led and Microservices architecture approach
  • Clear understanding and experience with Agile and Scrum frameworks and their application in product development and software delivery
  • Expertise in working in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals     
  • Leadership experience with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent written and strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish strong relationships across the organization and communicate complex concepts in an easily understandable manner
