WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

 

The System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure for the Relias production environment. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational, industry, and governmental standards.

 

 This individual is primarily responsible for hardware and software infrastructure in the Relias Production environment.  Responsibilities include systems administration, engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to: 

  •  Install new / rebuild existing servers, both physical and virtual, and configure services, settings,

      directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.

  •  Develop and maintain SW installation and configuration procedures.
  •  Contribute to and maintain system standards.
  •  Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system

      administration tasks.

  •  Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources,

      systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled

                 jobs such as backups.

  •  Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
  •  Configure/add new services as necessary.
  •  Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
  • Work closely alongside the software development team for software releases
  •  Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
  •  Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
  •  Create, maintain, and update documentation for standard operating procedures

Successful candidates must be knowledgeable and experienced with: 

  • Microsoft Server Systems
  • Networking Basics
  • Linux and Windows Server OS (Windows Server 2008, 2012, and 2016)
  • Data Backup Procedures
  • Hyper-V virtualization and Cloud Vendor Management
  • Storage Principles
  • Azure and/or cloud computing experience
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
