Senior Finance Analyst - Data & Analytics

We are on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Analyst to partner with our business teams and lead us along the data maturity curve. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of our data-driven journey, working closely with our Finance, Technology, and Data teams to unlock the full potential of our financial information.

 

In this pivotal role, you will harness the power of data to understand and meet the evolving needs of our business. You will play a crucial part in shaping how we utilise data to drive success and make informed decisions, ensuring our financial information is both robust and insightful.

 

This is a fixed term opportunity until March 2026. 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate with Finance, Technology, and Data teams to enhance financial information and data utilisation.
  • Work alongside the Director of Finance to ensure PowerBI reporting meets current and future needs, providing new insights from finance data.
  • Assist the deployment and adoption of PowerBI finance reports across finance and publishing teams.
  • Oversee ongoing PowerBI reporting, promote knowledge sharing, and ensure efficient resource use.
  • Act as a bridge between Finance, Technology, and Data teams, building positive relationships and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
  • Produce ad hoc analytics and analyse key metrics to automate KPIs and address business issues.
  • Understand revenue and costs and adhering to accounting practices and policies.
  • Proficient in internal systems.

 

What you’ll bring

 

Essential criteria:

  • Experience of Power BI/data visualisation skills
  • Good excel skills including pivot tables, macros and what if statements.
  • Experience of working with a variety of datasets and being able to shape and manipulate data.
  • Experience of developing and presenting insights through visualisation of data sets
  • Strong analytical mindset and high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate successful interactions with business and technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communicator across the business
  • Builds trusted relationships with peers and manager.

 

Preferred criteria:

  • Experience within a finance role or an understanding of financial information over a number of years would be preferrable
  • Working towards a professional accounting qualification or qualified

Salary

  

£36,000- £48,000 dependent on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.
