Senior AIS Developer

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Azure Integration Services Developer to join our Integration team at a challenging and exciting time as we consolidate and migrate our on-premise middleware solutions to Azure Integration Services.

In this newly created role, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing and deploying Azure based integration solutions

  • Using c# and related .net framework skills to evolve Penguin Random House’s integration requirements between services and platforms

  • Integrating and managing APIs across the technology space

  • Creating and maintaining appropriate processes, services, and technical documentation

  • Ensuring solutions are secure, well maintained and compliant with internal governance

  • Training existing team members to help them broaden and further develop their skills in Azure Integration Services

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Have strong experience with Azure technologies and a background in developing, designing, and implementing complex integration solutions.

  • Be comfortable building relationships with stakeholders across the business and within our Technology department.

  • Be able to understand pain points and devising solutions, ultimately leading to a deep technical knowledge of the platforms used and input into our development roadmap and drive best practices.

  • Be tenacious and passionate, with the ability to take ownership of tasks whilst managing your time effectively.

  • Maintain excellent attention to detail and have a logical approach to solving technical problems that impact delivery.

You’ll have in-depth knowledge in:

  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals and AZ204

  • Microsoft Windows Azure including Azure Integration Services, Logic Apps, Function Apps or Event Grid

  • Best practices within an Azure platform and an understanding of software development life cycles

  • Building B2B integrations to Shopify or Power Apps

  • The Microsoft development stack; including C#, .NET Framework, Visual Studio, TFS and SQL Server

Our approach to hybrid working:

While our offices are places for you to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, having flexibility about where you work is just as important for doing your best work and for your wellbeing. So, we don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to how we work across Penguin Random House UK.

For this role, there are some meetings and activities that you will need to attend in person mainly at our offices in London or Colchester. Outside of these moments, you can choose to work remotely.

The exact balance of office to remote working can be discussed with your future manager during the recruitment process. What we can say now is that you won’t need to go into the office five days a week (unless of course you want to!)

Please apply with your CV and cover letter by Sunday 3rd March.

Our people are the heart of our business, and we work hard to support a culture of responsibility and recognition. Our benefits include:

Salary: circa £65,000 dependent on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.

  • Financial – income protection, life assurance, childcare allowance

  • Wellbeing – healthcare cash plan, critical illness cover, health checks

  • Lifestyle – enhanced parental leave, tech scheme
