SAP Trainer ( 12mths FTC ) , Technology

We are looking for an experienced and proactive SAP Trainer to join an exciting and complex Purchase to Pay programme using a hybrid EEC 6.0 and Fiori cloud solution, covering over 1000 users.  


Proficient in developing and delivering training for purchase to pay processes you will also have experience of SAP MM  or SAP Fiori or another procurement system.  Working proactively with representatives from the project and our business you will be responsible for gaining a full understanding of our business processes and system design and translating this into quality and impactful training material.
Partnered with experts from our business you will lead delivery of end-user training and provide hands-on support to users at go-live.


This is a 12 month fixed term role based in London with travel to our sites in Colchester. Travel across all sites will be required for training delivery. 


Key Responsibilities/Duties:

Reporting to the Technology Training Manager you will be responsible for: 

  • Undertaking full lifecycle of training including needs analysis, course design, delivery and evaluation. 

  • Proactively engaging and collaborating with project and business experts, Technology and Information Security stakeholders to fully understand business process, system design and ways of working. 

  • Conducting training needs analysis, defining training course outlines and business training scenarios, gaining sign-off from business and project stakeholders

  • Developing a range training products and content, from traditional courseware (e.g. manuals, reference guides) to digital and e-learning to agreed quality, deadlines and sign-off process 

  • Preparing the training environment and resources including uploading training data to support learning exercises. 

  • Conducting train the trainer to  prepare nominated business trainers and super users to ensure they have the knowledge and skill to support your training delivery  

  • Delivering end user training virtually, in classroom or providing individual coaching  and floor walking 

  • Evaluating the effectiveness of training delivery and learning outcomes. 

  • Providing post go-live support including floor walking and refresher training to our end user community 

  • Providing feedback, report and training stats to the Technology Training Manager. 

  • Proactively reporting progress and escalating any risks, issues, or dependencies that will impact your delivery 

  • Supporting the delivery of all aspects of the training plan as requested by the Training Manager. Project Manager  or Business Change Lead

You will also need:

  • Excellent SAP knowledge in SAP Procurement (MM/P2P) 

  • Experience working with or developing training for SAP Fiori 

  • Experience of 2+  full lifecycle SAP projects or upgrades Extensive experience in a SAP training development and delivery role, ideally part of an implementation  or upgrade 

  • Competent and knowledgeable across a range of learning methodologies, and styles 

  • Experience of systems training environments and training data management  

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), and the ability to present and explain information to a wide range of audiences, with different levels of technical ability.

  • Confidence in working  with ambiguity and using judgement to drive forward deliverables 

  • Ability to quickly assimilate complex information and use judgement to draw conclusions and make recommendations 

  • Ability to quickly build rapport with a range of stakeholders  

  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and work to tight deadlines  

  • Some experience working with or developing training for SAP FICO 

  • Some experience creating online learning using Captivate and/or any other e-learning tools


Salary: Up to £46k dependent on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits
