SAP FICO Functional Analyst (12-month FTC)
Our SAP Centre of Excellence are recruiting for a customer-focussed SAP FICO Functional Analyst to provide specialist technical support to optimise our systems. This is an exciting 12-month FTC position which interfaces with a wide user community and will play a key role in supporting with our HRIS programme to transform people management tools, processes and services across Penguin Random House.
The role
The SAP FICO Functional Analyst role will be responsible for a range of activities including process mapping, designing, configuration, requirements gathering, writing functional specifications, end user training, documentation, stakeholder management, on-going maintenance, and enhancements for all our Finance business processes. As Part of our HRIS Programme this role requires the SAP FICO Functional Analyst to manage requirements, build and test Finance interfaces, build GL interfaces and transition to BAU support.
You will work closely with other application teams on both large and smaller sub-projects, to provide a dynamic and flexible approach while promoting and adhering to good practice such as ITIL processes. You will be working closely with a wide user community across multiple sites based in London and Colchester.
You will report into SAP FICO Functional Lead and deputise where required.
Key responsibilities:

Propose and specify configuration and ABAP solutions for business changes.

Understand configuration dependencies and integration points between SAP modules.

Design, test, and implement SAP configurations within a project management framework.

Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver ABAP solutions.

Investigate SAP business issues and provide advisory support to users.

Continuously improve processes and enhance end user experience.

Support and deliver SAP training across UK sites.

Implement and manage interfaces to and from SAP.

Create and update application documentation, sharing expertise within the SAP Centre of Excellence.

Proactively manage applications to enhance performance and reduce faults.
What you will bring:
Essential criteria:
-
Strong understanding and extensive experience with SAP FICO processes, particularly COPA.

Solid experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP FI/CO modules including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, New GL, Profit Centre Accounting, Cost Centre Accounting, Cost Accounting, Bank Accounting, Reporting, and interfaces.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Confidence in communicating and collaborating with stakeholders within the SAP CoE and the wider Technology division.

Salary
£60,000 - £65,000 dependent on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.

Hybrid working
While our offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important. For this role, there are some meetings and activities that you will need to attend in person once a month, mainly at our offices in London or Colchester. Outside of these moments, you can choose to work remotely.
