Penguin Michael Joseph is looking for a creative Publicity Manager to join its award-winning publicity team. 

 

We publish a wide range of established authors including Jamie Oliver, Dawn French, Raynor Winn, Nadiya Hussain and Marian Keyes as well as recent newcomers, Ashley Audrain, Jake Tyler and Robinne Lee. 

 

We’re looking for a publicist who knows how to get top flight media coverage that drives sales, as well as the ins and outs of strategically targeting publicity towards a specific readership.

 

You will need an extensive network of media contacts, experience of working with the famous and infamous, superb communication skills and be adept at engaging with online communities and influencers. You will work closely with authors and agents, as well as colleagues in editorial, marketing and sales, so we are looking for a real team player who can remain calm under pressure.

Working across a range of print, digital, broadcast and radio, you will have a track record of securing the top PR slots for both fiction and non-fiction.  The ideal candidate will also have experience organising and managing events and book tours.

We are currently working remotely but expect this role to transition into our Embassy Gardens offices in London as well as involve attending interviews, events and tours. Interviews will be conducted over video call.

Salary: £29,000 – £35,000 dependent on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits
