Online Test Analyst

Penguin Random House is looking for a Digital Test Analyst to join an exciting new Online space in an expanding area of the business.
Reporting into the Online DevOps Manager, you will have a key role in testing Penguin Random House’s Online products and high profile websites, shaping and owning the end-to-end testing lifecycle.

Your key responsibilities will include:
•    Defining and promoting testing processes which align with business and technology requirements and account for defect management and resolution
•    Leading the functional and non-functional testing on websites such as, our Marketing & Author websites and our mobile app products
•    Ensuring that quality is being produced and delivered by developers and that the level of testing completed is sufficient, removing unnecessary risk and promoting confidence from end users
•    Creating test scripts and scenarios across projects within the Online portfolio, recording all results in the test tool and raising any risks and issues early, with mitigation plans
•    Capturing, recording and prioritising defects, liaising with the relevant work streams to ensure that additional requirements are highlighted and training needs are addressed
•    Providing frequent progress reports (daily, fortnightly, monthly), as required, to internal and external stakeholders
•    Working closely with the Analytics team, Implementation Leads and Solution Architects to reach a common goal for testing the right data, bringing the most value to our immediate and longer term strategies
•    Planning, organising and running QA testing sessions, including SIT and UAT
•    Offering advice, support and guidance on performance tuning, security and usage profiling

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
•    Experience of working as a Test Analyst within a digital landscape, with a proven track record of improving testing processes
•    An understanding of integration testing and the ability to work alongside other project teams and 3rd parties
•    Experience in writing clear and detailed test scripts and plans
•    Automated Testing experience with Cucumber & Selenium and Hands on experience with performance/load testing
•    Exposure to TDD & BDD development
•    A good understanding and experience of working to Agile software development processes
•    Substantial experience of web content management systems, working with one or more CMS packages at a given time
•    Excellent interpersonal skills with strong stakeholder management experience, at all levels
•    Experience and working knowledge of AEM, Wordpress and AWS would be highly advantageous

If you would like to be a part of an exciting, high performing team, maximising business productivity across our digital landscape, then please apply by midnight on the 3rd of June.
