Marketing Executive, Transworld (FTC to December 2025)

The role
We’re looking for a highly creative Marketing Executive to support with the smooth running of the marketing team. Combining your creativity with strategic thinking and commercial awareness, you’ll manage campaigns across a range of media; planning, briefing, and delivering content as well as reacting to new opportunities and shifts in the market. You’ll have the opportunity to work across Transworld’s excitingly varied list, for example from the Jack Reacher series to authors like Sophie Kinsella, and from sci-fi and fantasy, to literary, to business and self-development.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the creation of successful marketing strategies, including identifying the audience, shaping the pitch, creative consumer message, planning media space, partnerships and campaign analysis
- Coordinating with relevant divisional departments, including sales, editorial, and publicity
- Developing, implementing and reviewing strategy for specific marketing channels such as divisional social channels, newsletters, websites, influencer outreach and online community building
- Providing digital marketing guidance for authors, including content planning, timelines and problem-solving
- Liaising with UK Group Marketing and International Sales and Marketing teams to promote our books in all markets
What you’ll bring
This role would be great for someone who has experience either running or supporting on campaigns. You’ll understand our audiences and how to talk to readers, and you’ll have experience posting on social medias such as Instagram and X. The ideal candidate will be keen to engage with the online reading community and explore opportunities to build relationships with authors and readers through community social channels.
Essential criteria:
- A demonstrable interest in Publishing and the books published by Transworld
- A familiarity with marketing campaigns and how they are run
- Experience posting on social channels
- Curiosity and a creative approach to marketing and engaging with audiences
- Excellent demonstrable communication and relationship building skills
- Proactive, flexible, and able to work to deadlines and to budgets
Preferred criteria:
- Previous experience using Canva
- Previous experience running META campaigns

Salary
£30,000-£34,000 dependent on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.

Hybrid working
While our offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important. Transworld’s core office days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and for this role we expect that you will work from our Embassy Gardens office at least 2 days per week.
