HR Operations Coordinator (12-month FTC)

PRH UK

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic HR environment?

Join our HR Operations team as an HR Operations Coordinator on an initial 12-month FTC, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of our essential HR activities. From auditing data for quality assurance to running data reports, processing invoices, and supporting company benefit administration, your contributions will be key to our success.

As the go-to point of contact for colleague benefit and compensation queries, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our team. If you’re detail-oriented, proactive, and ready to support a dynamic HR environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for benefits queries, interacting with colleagues at all levels and escalating issues when necessary.

  • Accurately input job roles, benefit selections, and pay band information into our HR Information System (HRIS).

  • Extract and prepare data for reports and analysis, ensuring everything is ready to go.

  • Collaborate with various HR teams to continually improve data quality and accuracy in the HRIS.

  • Create and maintain Process Maps and Standard Operating Procedures for reward and people data processes.

  • Assist with support requests from colleagues across the business including HR and Technology, to ensure timely resolutions.

  • Generate regular HR reports on turnover, sickness, recruitment, learning and development, compensation and benefits.

  • Ensure the accuracy of HR data reports by identifying and investigating any data concerns or anomalies.

  • Support compensation activities by preparing mail merge letters, ordering stationery, and maintaining filing systems.

  • Work closely with the HR team to educate and promote company benefits, track benefit take-up, and seek opportunities.

You will bring:

  • A strong aptitude for numbers and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas and macros.

  • Experience working with various data sources, cleaning, manipulating, and comparing data to provide meaningful insights.

  • Good understanding of how data can enhance service delivery.

  • Relevant experience collaborating with cross-functional teams like Payroll, Reward, and Finance.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A customer-service mindset with the ability to adapt to different requests.

  • An entrepreneurial spirit, always looking for innovative solutions and striving for improvement.

  • An ability to build positive and proactive work relationships, earning credibility and respect through output and delivery.

  • Proven ability to build reports, with HR data reporting as a bonus.

  • Proficiency in using and maintaining Information Systems, such as an HRIS or CRM, is preferable but not essential.

Our approach to hybrid working:

While our offices are places for you to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, having flexibility about where you work is just as important for doing your best work and for your wellbeing. So, we don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to how we work in different teams across Penguin Random House UK.

This is a hybrid role, based in our offices in London, as there are activities and meetings that you will need to support in-person twice a week. We are happy to discuss hybrid working arrangements with you during your recruitment process.

About Penguin:

In a constantly evolving industry, we work hard to stretch the definition of the word publisher. Here, you’ll work with a breadth of talent who all play their part to make each of our books a success. Together, we make books for everyone because a book can change anyone.
