Brand and Marketing Designer, Vintage (12-month FTC)

Through exceptional design, we connect some of the most thought-provoking, unforgettable, beautifully designed books – from contemporary trailblazers to our red spine Vintage Classics – with a range of audiences.

 

We’re looking for a talented Designer to come and join our brand and marketing teams to help send our books out into the world.  This opportunity is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract, 4 days a week, covering a period of parental leave. 

 

 

About the role

Reporting to a Senior Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and delivering the design vision for Vintage across our channels and titles, ensuring consistent high-quality marketing design that aligns to our Vintage brand guidelines across all touchpoints.

 

Responsible for designing industry-leading digital and physical assets for Vintage brand channels and titles, you will have excellent design and animation skills, strong attention to detail and a good creative and cultural awareness.

Designing static and animated assets for Vintage’s digital platforms that lead to high engagement and conceptualising and producing eye-catching creative for book campaigns including outdoor and print advertising, proofs, point-of-sale and merchandise, plus animations, trailers and static assets for all forms of social and digital advertising and for online retailers.

 

You will be proficient in Adobe creative suite, Microsoft Office, animation and web design, and experience of working collaboratively and creatively in teams. A knowledge of the publishing industry is not essential, but we are looking for someone who is energised, creative and organised, with significant experience in graphic design.

Salary: This role is offered on a 4-day working week. The salary for the position will be circa £33,000 (£26,400 for 4 days) depending on how your skills and expeirence align with the role.

Hybrid working: We’re experimenting with a hybrid way of working that suits the needs of each team. While our offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important. For this role we expect that you'll work from the office in Embassy Gardens at least 2 days a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but with other days in the office required from time to time depending on what comes up.
