Do you talk about the best new books with everyone you know? Do you enjoy being organised and proactive? This could be the role for you. We are looking for a Communications Assistant to join our Publicity team in Ireland.

 

The role

 

This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for someone who is keen to learn about the world of publicity and to support the team working across a huge variety of genres.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • General administration

  • Organising publicity schedules, travel and accommodation

  • Communicating with journalists and authors

  • Accompanying authors to interviews and attend events, which will involve some evenings and weekends.

  • Organising meetings

Essential criteria:

 

  • Enjoys working in a team

  • Full of ideas and has a creative approach

  • Great eye for detail

  • Able to prioritise and organise

  • Highly computer literate

  • Enjoys engaging on social media

  • Excellent interpersonal skills over email, phone, and in-person

  • Confident in communicating with both authors and the press

 

Preferred criteria:

 

  • Basic design experience is helpful but not essential

€31,500 plus benefits

While our offices across the UK and Ireland are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important. For this role we expect the successful candidate to work from our Dublin-based office a minimum of three days per week (two o0f these days being Tuesday and Wednesday) and offer a maximum of two days per week working remotely.
