Payroll Analyst (8-month FTC)

Join our Group Salaries department as a Payroll Assistant, where you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth payroll operations across all our current payrolls. This role is designed to support the Assistant Payroll Manager and work closely with Senior Payroll Analysts and Payroll Analysts.

 

You'll be covering a period of parental leave within the team, contributing to the day-to-day processing and reporting that keeps our payroll system running efficiently. Apply now to be part of our dedicated and dynamic team!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for all starters and leavers across all payrolls.
  • Manage sick leave, income protection, and parental leave across all payrolls.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to collate processing data.
  • Perform ad-hoc payroll calculations and data changes for employees.
  • Check and upload all overtime data.
  • Check and upload all average holiday pay data.
  • Verify monthly input in collaboration with Senior Payroll Analysts and Payroll Analysts.
  • Prepare payrolls for submission by the Senior Payroll Analyst or Assistant Payroll Manager.
  • Handle and clear the shared mailbox in conjunction with the Senior Payroll Analysts and Payroll Analysts.
  • Create and balance monthly reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with ad-hoc payroll tasks as they arise.
  • Adhere to the task timetable for day-to-day processing across all payrolls.
  • Distribute P45s and paper payslips to employees.

What you'll bring:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Moderate to advanced level experience with Microsoft Outlook.
  • Moderate to advanced level experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Good knowledge of payroll systems (experience with Payrite / FMP IRIS is an asset).
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach.
  • Ability to work effectively and inclusively with a range of people, both within and outside the organisation.
  • Demonstrated determination, resourcefulness, problem-solving skills, and a sense of purpose to deliver.
  • Ability to adapt to change.

  • Experience working within a busy payroll department.

Salary

 

Circa £26,000 dependent on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.
