Your Mission at BMG

Your primary mission will be to spearhead marketing campaigns for S-Curve Records artists and work closely with the BMG Recorded Music teams to build comprehensive plans tailored to the specific release and intended audience.

 

Your Profile

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in the marketing of mainstream music.
  • You have familiarity with a variety of music genres and digital audio file formats.
  • You are comfortable working in a team and are a self-starter. 
  • Your time management skills allow you to meet deadlines easily. 
  • You have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to track and follow through on multiple concurrent projects to completion.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work creatively with all of the departments within BMG NY team to develop marketing campaigns for a variety of artists across multiple genres.
  • Work with artist managers and the senior marketing team to create comprehensive global marketing plans and project timelines. 
  • Compile and follow through on asset delivery schedules, team/department deliverables, and manage project requirements across all departments.
  • Drive the creative process for the creation of commercial assets and marketing tools (album & single cover art, photo shoots, music videos, social media content, general video content, etc.).
  • Responsible for communicating project needs between both internal departments and external partners.
  • Compile and distribute comprehensive marketing updates to entire company & external artist teams on a regular basis while projects are active. 
  • Manage marketing budgets across roster and ensure departments are staying in budget following through on payment to third party vendors.

 

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or similar field.
  • Basic understanding of music industry platforms and reporting systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. 
  • Basic understanding of photoshop and web design preferred.
