Sr. Coordinator, Receipt and Statement Operations

 

Join our dynamic team as the Senior Coordinator, Receipt and Statement Operations, where you’ll play a crucial role in turning inbound statements into songwriter royalty payments. Your primary mission is to facilitate smooth workflows by ensuring timely reconciliation of cash receipts and source statements in BMG’s proprietary royalty system. This role emphasizes clear communication and collaboration with multiple teams, so your ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively will be essential to your success.

 

What You’ll Be Doing.

  • Ensure the processing team’s success by managing the flow of statements, providing notes, and setting clear direction for smooth operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance to identify payments, adjustments, minimum guarantees, and other cash entries, and coordinate the reporting of cash receipts to maintain accuracy across records.
  • Update, monitor, and present progress on receipts and statements for priority accounts, facilitating accurate, up-to-date reporting.
  • Share status updates from SmartMatch and statement exports, ensuring transparency and accessibility of information across departments.
  • Proactively reach out to income sources to obtain missing statements, maintaining a comprehensive and up-to-date record for accurate processing.
  • Undertake special research and ad hoc tasks, including analysis of non-title bound income and non-standard processing items.
  • Respond to inquiries from various departments and external sources regarding royalty statements, payments, and related matters.
  • Consistently update cash notes on all entries, tracking each item’s status until completion.
  • Coordinate with the sync team to manage and process weekly Synchronization income.

 

Must Haves.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles, ideally with experience in royalty accounting.
  • Ability to read and interpret payment terms and conditions in contracts accurately.
  • Experience with royalty or finance software, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.  Desire and willingness to learn advance Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong communication skills both in writing and verbally.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a larger team.

Pay Range

$45,000 – 51,000 per annum
