Your Mission at BMG.

Your primary mission at BMG is to add value to the creative team by managing, maintaining and updating roster of BMG Nashville.  You will be signing creators you are passionate about and elevating the careers of all BMG writers and artists by opening opportunities that lead to results which in turn increase the revenue.

 

Your Profile.

  • You have an interest in music publishing.
  • You have familiarity with a variety of music genres.
  • You are comfortable working in a team and are proactive. 
  • Your time management skills allow you to meet deadlines easily. 
  • You have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to track and follow through on multiple concurrent projects to completion.

 

What You’ll Be Doing.

  • Manage, maintain and update roster of BMG Nashville Writers i.e. update them on projects, set up cowrites, pitch songs, provide feedback on songs, arrange writing trips and answer queries.
  • Pitch current and catalog songs to secure cuts on artists on major as well as independent labels.
  • Planning co-write combinations for writers and setting those writing sessions up in their calendars.
  • Scout and recruit new talent (writers/artists/producers) to sign to generate results
  • Working with peers in other BMG offices and departments in a synergistic effort to generate opportunity.
  • Stay informed on industry information regarding writers and artists.

 

Must-Haves

  • Previous experience and a proven track record in A&R. Strong exisiting network e.g. Managers, Lawyers, Songwriters and Producers.
  • Good understanding of music publishing, copyright and contracts.
  • Motivated and eager to find and develop talent.
  • Proficient with Microsoft products.
  • Organized with excellent time management skills. Proficient with mac.
