Sr. Director, Publishing A&R

Los Angeles, California

BMG is one of the largest global music publishers in the market, representing some of today’s most successful artists, writers & producers. As part of BMG’s Music Publishing team, you will be responsible for developing and furthering the careers of some of BMG’s client roster.

You will be responsible for servicing a roster of songwriter clients. This includes setting up sessions for key label projects across the US market, doing A&R executive outreach on behalf of your assigned roster and pro-actively developing and executing strategies to create collaborations and place songs with commercial success in streaming & radio. Your role will include a significant portion of creative service as well as digital & administrative tasks like digital research, maintaining an up to date database of key label projects and release timelines.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Song Pitching o/b/o assigned roster, and company roster

  • Setup writing sessions, and writing camps for key label projects

  • A&R label research (reaching out to label executives to get info on key projects)

  • Setup label meetings for songwriters & producers to meet with label executives

  • Collaborate with other A&R team members on upcoming and developing projects

  • Deliver songs to BMG’s synch team prior to release (if possible)

 

Must-Haves:

  • Significant experience within Label A&R and/or Publishing A&R
  • Knowledge of key label and publishing executives
  • Knowledge of key songwriter & producer lanscape

Pay Range:

$100,000 - $110,000 annual compensation

The pay range listed above is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs. In addition to the range above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and applicable benefits.
