The Senior Director of Content & Creative at BMG is a strategic and visionary leader, responsible for overseeing a multidisciplinary creative team to deliver exceptional and impactful creative services for our artists and catalog. This role is pivotal within the marketing team, ensuring smooth collaboration across departments while maintaining a strong focus on innovative creative direction. With a proactive mindset, the Senior Director will lead the team to execute projects that amplify BMG’s cultural presence and support artists in connecting with audiences in meaningful ways.
What You’ll Be Doing.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of designers, animators, videographers, and other creatives.
- Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and collaboration within the team.
- Oversee project workflows, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.
Creative Direction/Strategy:
- Define the creative vision and direction for all projects, ensuring alignment with BMG’s identity and goals.
- Develop innovative concepts for music videos, visual campaigns, brand collaborations, and other activations.
- Act as a creative link between artists, clients, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the EVP of Marketing, artists, and artist management teams to develop strategies that align creative output with broader business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and freelancers to supplement the team’s capabilities as needed.
Quality Assurance & Process Management:
- Implement and uphold high standards for creative quality.
- Establish and refine processes to improve efficiency, collaboration, and project management.
- Oversee and manage client feedback, ensuring revisions are purposeful and align with the team’s creative autonomy and standards.
Innovation & Industry Leadership:
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating them into the team’s creative approach where possible.
- Proactively pitch new creative opportunities to expand BMG’s presence and impact.
- Lead the team in exploring AI tools, motion graphics, and other emerging techniques to maintain BMG’s goal of being forward-thinking creative force.
Oversight of Frontline & Catalog Projects:
- Music Videos
- Album Launch Assets: Develop cohesive launch packages, including teaser campaigns, social media assets, motion graphics, and banners to maximize visibility across platforms.
- Merchandise Designs & Collaborations
- CRM Campaigns
- Paid Media Assets
- 2D and 3D Animation
- Album Art & Packaging
- Brand Collaborations: Conceptualize and execute creative partnerships between artists and brands, including co-branded content and event activations.
- Interactive & Digital Experiences: Develop cutting-edge websites, games, and other interactive experiences that deepen fan engagement and extend the reach of artist campaigns.
Must-Haves.
Project Management Expertise:
- Proven ability to oversee and deliver complex, multidisciplinary projects on time and within budget.
Creative Software:
- Advanced knowledge of industry-standard tools like Keynote, Figma, Cinema 4D, Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, and emerging AI-driven tools.
Content Optimization for Platforms:
- Deep understanding of platform-specific requirements (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, META) for organic and paid media campaigns.
- Data-Informed Creativity:
- Ability to interpret data and audience insights to drive creative strategies and measurable results.
Visionary Creative Leadership:
- Skill in aligning creative direction with artists’ visions and balancing artistic integrity with commercial goals.
Industry Awareness and Innovation:
- Demonstrated ability to stay ahead of trends and integrate cutting-edge technologies like AR/VR and interactive experiences.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between artists, internal teams, and external stakeholders.

Pay Range
$130,000 – 160,000 per annum
The pay range listed above is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs. In addition to the range above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and applicable benefits.
