Director, YouTube US

We're on the hunt for a dynamic Director of YouTube to join our global team in Los Angeles! Your primary mission is to lead our US YouTube crew and cultivate exciting partnerships with YouTube itself. If you're ready to make a big impact, we want to hear from you!

 

What You’ll Be Doing.

  • Lead our dedicated YouTube US team to optimize our clients YouTube presence, ensuring maximum visibility and engagement for our artists, highest service offering and revenue performance
  • Provide managerial support and strategic direction to the YouTube US Sales team in our offices in New York, Nashville and L.A.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at YouTube globally, advocating for BMG’s and artists' interests while identifying mutually beneficial partnership opportunities
  • Define, shape and excecute strategic initiatives as a key member of our Global YouTube team, to enhance the discoverability and promotion of our artists' music on the platform, leveraging data insights and industry trends to inform decision-making
  • Build and maintain service driven and collaborative relationships with internal teams such as Frontline, Catalogue, Marketing, Insights & Analytics, Business Development, A&R, Supply Chain and Operations to translate complex contexts into business opportunities
  • Advise, consult and support artist teams regarding all YouTube related aspects of campaigns and platform specific strategies

 

Must-Haves

  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and social media platforms, with a focus on leveraging these channels to amplify our artists' presence on YouTube
  • Experience working with international markets and a global mindset, with the ability to navigate cultural nuances and localize content strategies effectively
  • Expertise in sales, and partnership management, with a track record of driving revenue growth across repertoire exploitation, optimization and monetization
  • Ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities, and work well under pressure within demanding timeframes
  • Strong communicator who is confident to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, artists & managements
  • Ability and appetite to consistently learn and adopt within a fast changing environment
  • Analytical proficiency, with the ability to interpret data and metrics to inform decision-making and drive results
  • Results-oriented approach with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes and achieving business objectives
  • Passion for music and video content

Pay Range

$95,000 – $114,000 per annum

The pay range listed above is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs. In addition to the range above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and applicable benefits.
