BMG’s DSP Sales department is the connection between BMG’s artists and our Digital Partners, building opportunities and partnerships that connect their music with fans – old and new. The Apple Music team within the DSP Sales team is a dedicated global hub, focused on delivering best in industry approaches to Apple Music – utilizing all the tools the platform provides to create commercial growth on the platform for BMG, all while remaining a dedicated partner to the Apple Music teams around the world.
As Director, Streaming US - Apple Music, your role is pivotal in nurturing and managing the relationship between BMG US and Apple Music. You are an expert in digital retailer platforms, especially Apple Music, and operate with a deep understanding of the power of music in the digital space. You will work closely with BMG US repertoire owners, to provide opportunities for all artists. You bring exceptional analytical, sales and managerial skills and an eagerness to learn all aspects of the digital landscape as it relates to music.
What You’ll Be Doing.
- Serve as the lead relationship manager for Apple Music in the US.
- Work closely with BMG US’s Recorded Music repertoire owners on priorities, artists and projects.
- Pitch artists and deliver assets for both playlisting and marketing opportunities.
- Create weekly placement reports for Product Managers and Artist Managers.
- Monitor release day placements, playlist adds and daily streaming numbers for priority tracks.
- Implement best practices for Apple, including: Spatial Audio, Album and Artist Motion, Artist Playlists curation, bio and press images.
- Collaborate closely with the Global Apple Music team at BMG, driving new business initiatives and developing innovative practices.
- Partner with other divisions within BMG to align on marketing efforts and opportunities to create revenue.
- Report key news and industry trends in the streaming space to the BMG US Recorded Music team.
- Work closely with the Analytics team on streaming performance and make appropriate recommendations.
Must-Haves.
- Demonstrated experience as a streaming expert in the music industry with a strong background in digital marketing and commerce.
- Experience in relationship building with accounts, clients, artist managers and internal teams.
- An exceptional sense of organization and a goal-oriented mindset.
- A creative mind with the ability to bring forth new ideas to drive forward targeted marketing campaigns.
- The ability to take initiative and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Nice-to-Haves.
- Previous experience working with Apple Music.
- Passion for promoting music and connecting fans with their favorite (or soon-to-be favorite) artists.
- A general understanding of the role of metadata, platform algorithms, and their effects on content discovery.

Pay Range
$100,000 – 114,000 per annum
The pay range listed above is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs. In addition to the range above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and applicable benefits.
