Your Mission at BMG

Your primary mission is to act as lead producer for our Films team in the US. You will oversee project management of our existing slate of films and be responsible for sourcing new projects. Tapping into your network of producers, directors, buyers and platforms, you will be a project lead on identifying new film & TV projects aligned with the strategic goals of the division.

 

You will work with internal and external stakeholders, managing projects from inception and deal making to production and distribution, ensuring successful delivery of your projects. You will be an essential team member, taking BMG’s global Films team to the next level.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work with existing BMG artist clients, internal teams, and other stakeholders to produce viable commercial projects.
  • Utilize network of top-tier producers and directors to bring highest quality creative vison to fruition on screen.
  • Manage slate of projects with regular contact with production partners, co-financiers and artists clients through production process ensuring on time and on budget delivery.
  • Determine commercial strategy as dictated by the project, identifying sales-agents, target distributors and platform buyers.
  • Track performance, summarize insights and deliver regular market reports.
  • Build and manage relationships with producers, directors, buyers, and distributors.
  • Oversee the development of BMG Films marketing materials including showreels, pitch documents and other relevant assets as needed.

 

Your Profile.

  • You have a passion for music and film.  
  • You have a deep understanding of an ever-evolving Film & TV media landscape.
  • You will have a strong network of production, sales and marketing partners and are comfortable working directly with artist management teams. 
  • You enjoy working in a team and as a self-starter, adept at successfully delivering on project KPI’s and budgets.  

 

Must-Haves.

  • Significant experience working at a record label, production company, studio or similar media company as a content producer, with a focus on the exploitation of audiovisual content.
  • Strong experience as a producer or executive producer on premium content (TV and/or film).
  • Deep understanding of music and film rights and knowledge of the current film &TV platform landscape.

 

Experience with international projects and global releases is a plus.
