Finance Manager- Reporting and Controlling

London

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced finance manager to join our London based team. As our finance manager, the person in this role will work to proactively assist the Senior Manager with managing the financial reporting, stock reporting and tax compliance of BMG’s businesses. Key Responsibilities.

Tax

  • Preparation of the quarterly UK VAT returns for Senior Finance Manager review.
  • Review and check the postings of the wider team on VAT to ensure correct mapping for IFRS reporting and Magnitude reporting.
  • Preparation of Dutch and French VAT returns. Point of contact from external advisors on issues.
  • Point of contact from the wider team on any VAT related questions.

 

Corporation Tax

  • Assist the Senior Finance Manager in the yearly preparation of the tax comps for the group companies including analysis excels, working papers and tax calculations for each group company. Work in unison with shared service center in the preparation of quarterly and yearly returns.
  • Be first point of contact from Tax advisors on any queries.
  • Assist in tax sensitive calculations including capital allowances, loss allocation and disallowable’s.
  • Prepare quarterly workings for each company in relation to the CT61 submission.

 

Accounting

  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts under IFRS for the Financial reporting team.
  • Assist in the year end audit, providing to the auditors evidence and samples in relation to areas you are responsible.
  • Assist in tax guidance for specific journals that may arise from special company transactions.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for areas responsible.
  • Prepare quarterly group recharges for UK and German entities for senior finance manager review, in line with group recharge rules and transfer pricing.

 

Business Operations

  • Assist with company restructuring as and when they occur, including consolidation journals and SAP integration.
  • Assist in tax guidance for specific journals that may arise from special company transactions.

 

Compliance

  • Support other finance teams such as Finance assistants, FP&A and Transactions teams
  • Prepare calculation and analysis for the yearly PSA and P11D submission.
  • Assist the Senior Finance Manager in the yearly control meetings and examinations with each department for the groups risk and control reporting.
  • Assist in the group and company risk calculations and reporting to group teams.

 

Stock

  • Preparation of the monthly stock journal for group recharge.
  • Liaising with hub, recorded finance, supply chain and transactions team for to correct recording of stock invoices for IFRS purposes.
  • Liaising with external advisers and stake holders in the development of a in house stock management software integrated into our SAP system.
  • Being the point of contact from UK and international supply chain teams for all stock movement compliance queries.

 

Your Profile.

  • Ability to manage work for a large number of legal entities.
  • SAP/Excel (Intermediate/Advanced).
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS.
  • Knowledge of VAT reporting requirement.
  • Fully qualified in either ACA / ACCA / CIMA. 
  • Interest in music.
  • Commitment to continual professional/self-development.

 

It’s a plus if you also have…

  • Experience of working with stock.
  • Experience of dealing with different stake holders across a business.
