Director – Streaming UK (Spotify)
Join BMG’s team and play a pivotal role in nurturing and managing the relationship between BMG UK and Spotify. Seeking an expert in digital retailer platforms, to operate with a deep understanding of the power of music in the digital space. BMG’s DSP Sales department is the connection between BMG’s artists and our Digital Partners, building opportunities and partnerships that connect their music with fans.
This is a FTC covering parental leave, starting in May and running until December 2025
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead relationship manager for Spotify, TIDAL and Beatport
- Work closely with BMG UK’s Recorded Music repertoire owners on priorities, artists and projects
- Pitch artists and deliver assets for both playlisting and marketing opportunities
- Create weekly placement reports for Global Streaming Leads, Product Managers and Artist Managers
- Monitor release day placements, playlist adds and daily streaming numbers for priority tracks
- Implement best practices for Spotify, including: Content Curation, Discovery Mode strategies, Artist Playlists curation, bio and press images
- Collaborate closely with the Global Spotify Music team at BMG, driving new business initiatives and developing innovative practices
- Partner with other divisions within BMG to align on marketing efforts and opportunities to create revenue
- Report key news and industry trends in the streaming space to the BMG UK Recorded Music team
- Work closely with the Analytics team on streaming performance and make appropriate recommendations.
Your Profile
- Previous experience owning relationships with key DSPs – ALM + Editorial
- Deep understanding of the streaming platforms
- Some experience in managing at least one team member
- Experience in building and developing streaming campaigns
- Ability to lead and create a collaborative working environment
- Confident with Microsoft Suite / Looker / Excel
