The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for the development of an effective inventory management system in collaboration with the operations and quality. 

 

YOUR TASKS

  • Ensure the inventory accuracy within the facility.

  • Ensure adequate inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory cycles and organizational philosophy.

  • Conduct daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems. 

  • Monitors inventory levels, product movements, controls/isolates non-conforming product (damage) and procedure as defined by Standard Operating Procedure.

  • Manage the performance of a team of cycle counters and inventory analysts who conduct ongoing inventory counts, investigations and full wall-to-wall PIs in a multi-client 3PL fulfillment and distribution center.

  • Direct, coordinate and optimize cycle counts to meet company goals in terms of and customer driven KPIs.

  • Establish or adjust work schedules to meet shipment deadlines.

  • Improve Inventory Control fundamentals, strive for standardizations in a multi-client environment and champion inventory control and continuous improvement culture across the overall facility.

  • Champion inventory control in the facility and interact directly with clients and suppliers on inventory, processes and systems related matters.

  • Engage and Interact on a cross-functional level across the facility to deploy inventory control improvement strategies and initiatives including cost savings and quality measures.

  • Lead designated projects as a member of the site leadership team to deliver standards, processes, tools and systems.

  • Maintain metrics and analyze cycle count accuracy, SKU adjustments, inventory shrinkage, net and absolute variances, and any other established KPI related to inventory to assess performance and implement improvements.

  • Promote a safe and clean work environment.

  • Conduct investigations and initiate corrective actions to resolve inventory issues.

  • Assesses productivity and cost effectiveness of the inventory control department; develop projects to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and reduce costs.

  • Advise operations and account management of best practices and industry standards related to inventory management and Continuous Improvements.

 

YOUR PROFILE

 

  • BA/BS degree in warehousing, supply chain management or related field.
  • 5-6 years’ experience in warehousing and distribution.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • SAP experience a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be diligent, multi-task oriented, and organized.
  • Strong administrative, mathematical & analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage people, processes, and technology
  • Customer-centric mindset.
  • High degree of flexibility to be able to work in a very dynamic and fast pace environment where requirements can change quickly.
  • Certified to train on powered industrial equipment such as; forklift, reach, order picker, turret, and clamp truck preferred.
