Arvato is hiring Senior Logistics Engineers to join our growing team. In this exciting role you will be involved in complex multi-function/ multi fulfillment center projects. As a Senior Logistics Engineer at Arvato, you would be a leader, responsible for overseeing logistics operations, strategic planning, and driving innovation in supply chain management, focusing on solutions for B2B retail and B2C e-commerce. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategic solutions to optimize our clients' supply chain operations, with a focus on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.

Your Tasks

  • Plan and design cutting-edge solutions for B2B retail and B2C e-commerce multi-node fulfillment centers to enhance operational efficiency and boost customer satisfaction.

  • Drive greenfield startup initiatives by designing and implementing logistics infrastructure for new facilities.

  • Initiate complex RFQs for material handling equipment and warehouse automation and present solution options to senior leadership to make informed decisions.

  • Communicate with management, engineering, and other colleagues to ensure that best practices are shared across the organization

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver comprehensive logistics solutions that meet client needs.

  • Participate in strategic capital equipment and budget planning and forecasting, be accountable for budget creation and monitoring

  • Provide leadership, technical guidance, and training to other team members

  • Utilize wide knowledge in data analytics, process optimization, material flow management and headcount planning to drive solution decision-making and enhance overall operational efficiency

 

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering is required; a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics engineering or supply chain management, with at least 1 years in a senior expert role within a 3PL environment.

  • Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering results on time and within budget.

  • Experience in budgeting, supplier and cost management for medium and large-scale logistics projects

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to operate effectively and drive solutions with ambiguous or incomplete data

  • Proven experience in data analytics, process improvement, and material flow management. 

  • Experience with automation technologies and systems integration. 

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time to support client engagements and projects.
