The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for performing, independently or with minimal guidance, the day-to-day maintenance activities within the Fulfillment Center. The Maintenance Supervisor represents and follows outlined company guidelines for general work practices and performs assigned duties in accordance with proper safe work practices. The Maintenance Supervisor takes initiative to coordinate maintenance activities with to ensure the safe and satisfactory completion of all tasks. The Maintenance Supervisor must have a thorough understanding of the product flow and operational goals to effectively support the Fulfillment Operations.
YOUR TASKS

Demonstrate company values with internal and external partners

Ensure all facility equipment (conveyors, MHE, lighting, etc.) is in good repair and all appropriate preventive maintenance is completed on schedule

Working supervisor that actively leads and works with Maintenance Techs to repair/maintain equipment and facilities

Purchase/procure all consumables according to Corporate
-
Purchasing guidelines and utilizing Preferred Vendors
-
Maintain all expense related items to budget
-
Maintain maintenance department to budget
-
Manage housekeeping to ensure cleanliness of facilities are at acceptable levels
-
Make suggestions for improvement in MHE areas, new equipment, cleaning, and maintenance suggestions etc.

Performance management of all maintenance direct reports

Foster a safety-first culture
-
Help develop skills through teaching and training

Daily/weekly work assignments scheduled and tracked
-
Attendance tracking/policy adherence of all technicians
-
Disciplinary issues handled appropriately including coaching/mentoring when expectations aren’t met

Ensure the day-to-day Operations goals are met by working with management to prioritize work orders and equipment/facility’s needs

Work with other departments (Engineering, Security, IT, etc.) to keep projects/jobs on time, within budget and avoid unnecessary downtime

Working at heights of 40ft or more will be required

Work with Senior Leadership at the site/campus when Facilities Manager is unavailable

Frequent bending, lifting, walking, pushing, pulling of freight, standing for long periods of time

Sometimes working in extreme temperatures

Safely utilize manual and electronic operated equipment to transport cartons or other items by means of pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying

Other duties/assignments as directed by Management
YOUR PROFILE
- Adept at analyzing and resolving mechanical and technical issues
- Excellent hand and eye coordination skills
- Ability to read, recognize, write, and follow applicable numbers and directives (verbal and written) in english
- Command of basic math skills to ensure accurate inventory
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends as necessary
- Command of safety procedures (including lock-out/tag-out)
- High School Diploma or GED required
- AAS in an Engineering related field or will consider experience in lieu of degree including military service
