The Security Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing and executing Arvato’s safety, security, and emergency response programs at the site level. This role ensures compliance with all corporate policies and regulatory requirements, while fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, and operational excellence. The Security Manager works closely with site leadership to align local efforts with Arvato’s global safety and security mission.
YOUR TASKS
- Lead and manage all Safety & Security personnel, ensuring operational excellence in security, environmental health, and safety practices.
- Ensure consistent compliance with Arvato’s safety and security policies, as well as federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
- Serve as a liaison between site leadership and corporate Safety & Security leadership to align global standards with local needs.
- Conduct site-level safety inspections and audits; identify hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Oversee emergency preparedness programs, including the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Building Evacuation Team (BET); maintain all required documentation.
- Monitor for risks related to natural disasters, workplace violence, or other security threats; maintain situational awareness and readiness.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local emergency services (law enforcement, fire departments, etc.).
- Ensure all training—mandatory, site-specific, and client-specific—is delivered, tracked, and documented appropriately.
- Lead the Safety & Security segment of New Hire Orientation in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Manage third-party vendor performance for contracted security personnel; evaluate effectiveness and compliance.
- Implement and monitor asset protection strategies to safeguard company and client assets.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through process evaluations, incident tracking, and root cause analysis.
- Support incident reporting protocols and ensure anomalies are thoroughly documented and addressed.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on workplace investigations, employee safety concerns, and violence prevention programs.
- Provide input on site safety and security budgets; support efficient resource planning.
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in safety and security operations, including team leadership.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and emergency response planning.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (LEAN, Six Sigma); certification preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve root causes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and mentor direct reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
