Carbel, part of Arvato, is a full-service 3PL provider serving national and international clients across various industries, with a strong focus on fashion and retail. The Project Manager will lead implementation of key and strategic technical projects for our clients seeking to leverage a variety of product offerings including enhancements to existing services. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to effectively manage client satisfaction, budget, resources, schedule. The candidate will work in close coordination with the Technology and Account Management teams through the Service Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) leveraging waterfall and agile methodologies where applicable. This position will deliver scalable, high growth and revenue generating technology solutions for the success of the business and our clients. This position will help influence technology strategy and roadmap from the voice of the client. Additionally, this role will help drive client satisfaction / Net Promoter Score (NPS), retention and reference-ability. The successful candidate will have a background in both business and IT and will understand the software development industry. We are looking for a responsible, articulate, and motivated Project Manager who can quickly identify vulnerabilities and obstacles and then create innovative solutions to any problems related to delivery of projects and programs.

YOUR TASKS

  • Successful planning, status reporting, and delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects
  • Collaboration with cross functional teams to build and execute well-structured project plans
  • Drive proactive & transparent communications with key stakeholders and executive team related to project scope, assumptions, estimates, timing, risks, and deliverables to properly set and manage expectations
  • Collaborate with development teams to convert business strategies into a technology delivery plan that is executable
  • Lead high performing matrix project teams which includes roles / functions from across all technology platforms
  • Troubleshoot issues, risks and define mitigation plans to ensure delivery timeline remains on schedule and within budget
  • Foster strong relationships and partnerships with both internal customers and key vendors
  • Follows the principles of Services Delivery Methodology (SDM) in project delivery
  • Provide direction to project resources, monitor development efforts, assemble key project deliverables, and intelligently identify issues and risks requiring escalation when reporting project status
  • Closely monitor change requests and assist with prioritization and decision making for changes.
  • Schedule and facilitate project status meetings and advise management on the effects change requests will have on schedule and resources and client expectations
  • Effectively communicate project implementation options that affect cost, schedule, quality, and risk to stakeholders and offer recommendations based on these elements
  • Provide a hands-on project management approach to drive consistent deliverables, and is eager to learn technical / operational process flows, and best practices

YOUR PROFILE

  • The candidate must be at the minimum a project management ‘practitioner’ with a strong understanding of the business services and solid experience in stakeholder management, problem solving and interpersonal skills to leverage cross functional resources and working relationships with Account Teams for delivery of projects

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 4+ years of proven professional technology services experience preferably in the ecommerce sector and within a professional service environment.

  • Proven experience managing large, complex, and concurrent cross-functional development and implementation projects to deliver technical solutions across multiple project teams and organizational units.

  • Proven ability to manage highly complex programs and ensure effective collaboration and communication across business and technology stakeholders including multiple geographies.

  • Strong understanding of business needs to deliver business and customer value

  • Strong knowledge of Project & Portfolio Management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.)

  • Demonstrated experience managing projects using various Project Management methodologies (Agile & Waterfall)

  • Successful track record of delivering on agreed upon business objectives and performance on key metrics

  • Highly effective communication and negotiation skills in all mediums and throughout all levels of the organization

  • Experience with program management office planning and operations activities

  • PMP Certification is preferred
