Finance Manager, Vintage

Our Vintage division are looking for a Finance Manager to join them and assist the Finance and Commercial Director in all commercial aspects of the business, including new acquisitions, stock holding, sales margins, and author payments.

 

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for day-to-day results reporting, business partnering, month end close, statutory reporting, and inputting into the budgeting and forecasting for the division.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Management accounting, preparation of P&L and balance sheet
  • Supervising budget and forecast preparation
  • Key input into financial and commercial decisions, including author acquisitions
  • Development of reporting to aid business decisions
  • Ensuring best practice and financial controls are followed
  • Direct line management, including training and development of one finance analyst
  • Responsible for developing financial awareness throughout the division
  • Dealing with external partners including auditors
  • Identifying system enhancements to improve processes

What you’ll bring to the role:

 

The ideal candidate will have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate creativity combined with sound commercial judgment and highly developed analytical capability.

 

Attention to detail, the ability to multitask and handle competing priorities are essential, as well as being a strong team player. We are looking for someone who is a qualified accountant or near qualification and have experience at this level.

 

In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate must be proactive and able to identify improvements, work effectively and inclusively with a range of people, and demonstrate determination, resourcefulness, and purpose to deliver results.

Salary: £43,000 - £55,000 depending on how your skills and experience align to the role.
