Your role
Managers for Business Products play a key role in our product and technology delivery. They act as an intermediary between smartclip’s main stakeholders and the development teams of smartclip’s leading adtech platform.
Do you feel excited about how the Digital and the Television industry are coming together when it comes to advertising technology and ad serving? Then you are in the right place. You will be responsible for guiding and providing our leading broadcaster clients with the right insights, and products for joining both worlds together. A new challenge has developed with the digitisation of traditional TV and radio advertising: while traditional digital advertisements have been designed to fill an ad slot with a single ad, modern ad decision systems need to be capable of filling ad slots with a sequence of ads that musto follow complex rule sets — creating the need for hybrid models of digital and linear ads. This is a new field in digital advertising and your role will be in charge of pioneering solutions that address this problem.
Beyond continuous development of our existing audio and video ad format portfolio, you will also play a vital role in the specification of new ad formats. Part of your responsibility will be to work together with different stakeholders to prioritise and assess potential opportunities and incoming requirements. You will also be involved in related implementation tasks including assisting our international clients with advanced supply side and SDK related integrations of our tech stack.
The wide range of tasks make thisone of the most colourful and varied roles in our company. This role not only requires an extensive understanding of the business, but also a solid knowledge of ad serving technology, and excellent communication skills.
Your position in our team
- Have a clear product understanding to define a proper roadmap based on information from the business owners and the market.
- Handle communication with business stakeholders regarding requirements, business importance, and planning.
- Contribute and assist with the creation of the general product roadmaps by supplying clear feature requirements with appropriate business based prioritisation.
- Understand and map out the dependencies of the product and its features to third parties — especially the technical units.
- Responsible for fully understanding the product both from a business side and technical perspective and be able to translate the business requirements into initial technical specifications.
- Handle client calls to facilitate and assist in requirement clarifications and consultancy.
- Monitor the use and success of the responsible products and supply our training and product marketing team with input to maintain appropriate functional documentation.
Your profile
- At least 2 years of experience in Product Management in adtech/martech, ideally in the field of digital video advertising
- Good understanding of audio/video ad formats and related tools
- Hands-on experience with the integration of SDKs
- Working knowledge of product development architectures and processes
- Ability to balance technical knowledge with business sense
- High degree of organisational skills, individual initiative, and personal accountability
- Proven track record with launching new products or features in partnership with the technical teams and business units.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire business owners to drive collaboration and alignment.
- Fluent in English, written and verbally. Any additional language (German, Dutch, Italian and Spanish) is a big plus.
- Higher or Academic professional education or experience level.
