As Risk Management Lead (m/f/d) at Riverty, you are part of our strategy to become a leading partner for payment solutions in European e-commerce. In this dynamic and ever-changing environment, adherence to regulatory requirements and the establishment of a robust risk management framework are fundamental to the success of our group.

 

Tasks

  • Implementation of the risk management function  according to regulatory requirements for credit institutions
  • Leading the risk management function as key function holder Chief Risk Officer (CRO)
  • Establishment of a risk-taking and risk management framework, including risk limit monitoring and risk appetite statement
  • Building and reviewing the ICAAP, ILAAP, and Recovery Plan documents
  • Conduct independent research, develop, implement and further continuously elaborate on new regulatory requirements for the institution's risk management
  • Development and maintenance of the models and processes used, as well as ongoing maintenance and update of internal documentation and processes
  • Regular reporting and advice to authorized management, board of directors, and specialized committees
  • Integrating the institution-specific risk management function with the group's risk management
  • Ensure smooth coordination and communication with internal control functions, auditors, and supervisory authorities

 

Profile

  • You have a degree in business administration, economics (or comparable) with a focus on banking, or financial mathematics
  • You have at least 8 years of experience in the leadership of a risk  management function in a credit institution, or any other likewise regulated entity
  • You have experience in the risk identification, risk assessment, and risk reporting within the banking industry, complemented by relevant risk management tool skills
  • You have a strong understanding of local risk and regulatory requirements including applicable CSSF circular letters, CRR/CRD and EBA guidelines
  • You demonstrate an analytical and conceptual approach to work, coupled with target group-oriented communication skills
  • You demonstrate motivation, resilience, accountability, and proactive initiative
  • You thrive in international, cross-functional teams and communicate effectively in English, proficiency in German is an advantage
  • You exhibit a proactive and structured approach to work
  • You have strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, effectively guiding teams and making strategic decisions
