Description of position

The Financial Analytics Lead will spearhead an international team, overseeing diverse tasks such as developing innovative, data-driven models for forecasting, loss reservations and pricing tools. We seek a dynamic individual to instigate change, challenge norms and propel our Analytics team to new heights.

This newly established role empowers the ideal candidate with the autonomy to tailor responsibilities to align with business needs. Additionally, it provides ample flexibility in team formation to strategically achieve organizational targets.

What you are expected to do:

• Be a role model and ambassador for the Finance team
• Lead, coach and develop the small but dedicated Financial Analytics team, drawing on your extensive hands-on experience to guide them through complex analytical frameworks
• Support in developing mathematical models and using statistical techniques to analyse financial data, make projections and support decision-making
• Manage team priorities, resources and deadlines to ensure deliverables align strategic goals
• Provide profitability analyses and ad-hoc analyses on merchants, segments, products or competitors to support stakeholders in decision making
• Comfortably present your work and point of view to senior stakeholders
• Staying ahead of the curve by driving continuous improvement and innovation in your area of expertise

What you should bring

• University degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Financial Analysis / Analytics
• A proven leadership journey, with at least 2 years managing projects or leading cross-functional teams, showcasing your ability to translate analytical insights into actionable strategies
• Understanding of data extraction and data manipulation (SQL, Excel, Python, etc.)
• Exceptional inter- and intrapersonal skills and the ability to foster a collaborative environment, facilitating the growth and development of team members
• Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English. The ability to speak a Nordic or German language is a plus
• Proven track-record of implementing data-driven forecasting- and/or loss reservation models 
• Previous experience in e-commerce or financial industry
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure is a plus
• Experience in Machine learning and predictive analysis is a plus
