We are looking for a
Credit Risk Manager 
to join our team in Berlin, Verl, Amsterdam, or Heerenveen

Client due diligence and credit risk monitoring are key to healthy and successful business relations. You will ensure client records meet the standards of our Credit Risk and know your customer frameworks.


In this wide-ranging role, you will be part of our experienced, passionate, and growing Credit Risk team within Europe. The team's core responsibility is to prevent financial losses from credit, regulatory, and scheme compliance risks while contributing to the continuous growth of our BNPL and financial services.

You will work closely with your international Risk Management peers and partner with the Sales, Implementation, and product teams.


What will be your challenge in the role: 

  • Execute comprehensive risk assessments and financial due diligence for clients and partners upon onboarding and during the contract lifecycle

  • Monitor and analyze risk development in the assigned portfolio and define mitigation measures; detect early distress signs and act accordingly

  • Advise the risk owners and senior management on risk acceptance and collateral(s) for large deals, ensuring that mitigating measures are effective and timely implemented. You will present recommendations during Credit Committees and implement these solutions.

  • Develop, roll out, execute, and monitor new credit risk classification framework, controls, and systems

  • Maintain robust controls to ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements and best practices, identifying and implementing improvements to existing processes

  • Work together with other teams, e.g. Portfolio Management, Key Account Management, and Consumer Risk as well as Fraud Risk

  • Prepare reports and dashboards


We are looking for someone with:

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Credit/Risk management, preferably in the  Fintech, Banking or Payments environment

  • Excellent investigative and analytical skills to identify trends and insights

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, preferably machine learning (ML) and scoring models savvy

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment by multitasking effortlessly and managing competing priorities under demanding deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, manage projects, and drive results

  • Business knowledge of English, additional Dutch or German preferred
