Summer Intern - Penguin Random House Audio

Penguin Random House’s Audio division is offering a 10-week PAID summer internship opportunity in our Woodland Hills location, working with our team of award-winning Producers and our incredibly talented Engineering and Post Production teams.  Throughout the 10-week program, you will gain hands-on studio and other technical experiences related to the growing field of audiobooks as well as exposure to various other departments and divisions across Penguin Random House.  This internship is a fantastic introduction to a variety of career paths in audiobook production (e.g. engineering, editing, pre-production, etc.) and provides the opportunity to work with a wide range of talents in audio publishing, including authors, actors, and narrators.  You may even have the opportunity to sit in on a session as an Engineer or to proof audio content with scripts!

 

Some of the specific responsibilities include:

  • Transferring and converting audio files from various physical media to digital audio files.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting for studio equipment and iPads.
  • Helping with studio and storage organization.
  • Shipping archive materials.
  • Other ad hoc projects and tasks as needed that will give a fuller overview of the company/office

 

This intern will work for 28 hours per week and will be paid $15/hr.  Program dates are June 1 – August 7.  To be eligible, you must be a rising college senior, a graduate*, and/or available for full-time employment within 1 year.

*You do not need to be enrolled in college or have a degree to apply to our internship program.
