Associate Marketing Manager - RHCB

Random House Children’s Books is looking for an Associate Digital Marketing Manager to join the Digital Marketing team. This position supports the team’s goals of developing and executing digital campaign strategies for trade title campaigns, specifically for Board Book and Picture Book titles with support on celebrity Brand titles.

 

This position will report directly to the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing and work closely with our Trade Marketing team as well as the Design, Editorial, and Publicity teams across the Children’s Division. The position will support marketing strategy by developing and executing creative, exciting, and successful social media and digital campaigns targeted at parents for picture book and board titles, as well as provide support of those titles through our consumer-facing corporate social media channels and online communities.

 

What you'll do:

 

  • Ideate, develop, and execute innovative digital marketing plans for titles and series based on market data and consumer trends, continuously updating plans on a regular basis
  • Work closely with digital counterparts to execute title campaigns across digital touchpoints, including email, social channels, websites, influencer outreach, paid social media advertising, etc.
  • Work cross-functionally within the division to align on marketing campaign strategy, goals, timing, target audience, messaging, and more
  • Work with internal teams to write copy, create promotional websites, video trailers, sweepstakes, designed assets, and other digital programs to support publicity and marketing campaigns for titles and trade programs, as well as our own division’s brand
  • Work closely with external teams, including agents and authors to educate and align and present title campaigns.
  • Support Senior Manager on Brand and celebrity picture book campaigns
  • Work closely with team Coordinator to manage and oversee project management and digital team workflow
  • Manage a title budget

  • You are passionate about user experiences
  • Interdisciplinary approach to problem solving
  • Ability to transition between the creative and analytical sides of marketing
  • Strong creative vision for social content creation and ideation that will resonate with our readers and followers

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Has 3+ years working within digital marketing and digital advertising
  • Knowledge of social media platforms best practices and analytics, including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once, project manage, and work autonomously
  • Has basic understanding of SEO and SEM and best practices
  • A basic understanding of website analytics a plus ie. Google Analytics, Abode
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of the reading community is a plus
  • Passionate about publishing and books
