The Random House Children’s Books group is looking for a temporary Junior Designer to work on site who will be responsible for designing and managing marketing projects for multiple brand properties including DC Comics, Disney, Dr. Seuss, Nickelodeon, Magic Tree House, Marvel, and more. Candidate will work on-site 4-5 days/week on an indefinite basis producing a variety of materials such as brochures, posters, print ads, online ads and social images (static and animated gifs), signage, displays, bookmarks, premium items and more.


Responsibilities include:

  • Design and manage all stages of producing marketing materials
  • Work collaboratively with all members of the brand team from concept to completion
  • Route and Track project status on workflow software
  • Maintain and adhere to production schedules
  • Prepare files for digital and print output
  • Assist other Brand Designers and the Art Director as needed



  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a design capacity, preferably working with brands
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask multiple projects while adhering to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe’s Creative Suite programs, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Experience with After Effects a plus
