Sr Associate, Paid Media Strategy & Ad Operations, Audio (Open to Remote)

Penguin Random House is hiring a Senior Associate to support media buying for the Audio division. As an ideal candidate, you are familiar with current media channels and advertising options, with experience working directly with ad partners. You’ll provide key support and best practices as we continue to refine our growing corporate digital advertising operations. The media buyer will be joining the Paid Media Strategy and Ad Operations team, a collaborative and innovative team dedicated to paid media planning, execution, and optimization; and to staying on top of the latest trends and vendors in an ever-changing advertising landscape. 

 

Specific responsibilities include:   

  • Work closely with members of the Paid Media Strategy & Ad Ops team dedicated to the Audio team on planning, execution, and management of dozens of ad campaigns with multiple partners at any given time 
  • Collaborate closely with the marketers on the PRH Audio team, actively participating in planning meetings, contributing thoughtful and informed recommendations 
  • Form and manage relationships with PRH’s major ad partners 
  • Research and meet with potential new vendors as we continue seek to expand our partnerships 
  • Negotiate terms for insertion orders, secure signatures, communicate specs and timelines, and traffic all necessary materials to ad partners on schedule 
  • Ensure partners have a clear understanding of our marketing goals and KPIs, and that it’s reflected in the campaign reports they deliver 
  • Assist with hands-on campaign set up with self-serve platforms, such as Meta, Google, and/or TikTok 
  • Work with the Performance Marketing team to analyze campaign reporting and provide strategic recommendations at the audience, campaign, and platform levels to deliver stronger performance aligned with campaign goals 
  • Ensure implementation of ad operations requirements and best practices for campaigns, including tracking, tagging, and campaign set-up 

   

Please apply if you meet the following qualifications: 

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in media buying, digital advertising, or similar role    
  • Familiarity in the language of digital marketing metrics and online measurement (CTR, CPM, ROAS, etc.)   
  • Experience managing multiple campaigns at different stages of execution  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to network and build relationships remotely 
  • Impeccable organizational skills with a keen attention to detail  
  • Ability to assess and prioritize workload and work independently, utilizing effective time management skills  
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams concurrently  
  • Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environment  
  • Ability to analyze performance data and extract actionable insights to inform campaign plans 
  • Audiobook listener a plus! 

 

The PRH office is located in New York, NY. The position is open to remote candidates. 

 

The salary for this position is $61,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
