Senior Production Associate, PRHPS

Penguin Random House Publisher Services is seeking a Senior Production Associate to join our team servicing a client, Kodansha Comics, working on initial titles. Kodansha is home to bestseller and award-winning series, including Attack on Titan, Akira, and Sailor Moon. This role manages approximately 100 one-color paperbacks per year, from initial estimates to warehouse delivery.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Request estimates from domestic/overseas printers, create purchase orders, and act as a liaison between printers and the PRHPS team

  • Work closely with Inventory and Managing Editorial to create and maintain schedules

  • Submit files to vendors and route proofs as needed

  • Answer client queries related to accounting, receiving, and tracking books

  • Compile and submit final files to the digital department


Essential Qualifications/Requirements:

  • At least 3 years’ book production experience, or similar role

  • Strong organizational skills, detailed-oriented, and the ability to prioritize a comprehensive workload

  • Self-starter who can work independently and within a team in a remote environment

  • An excellent communicator with a high degree of both written and verbal skills to match

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word) required; knowledge of SAP, FileMaker, and Adobe Acrobat Pro a plus


Salary for the position is $55,000.
