Senior Associate, Client Engagement - (Tri-State Area)

Penguin Random House Publisher Services (PRHPS) sells and distributes titles from 55 client publishers and is seeking a Senior Associate, Client Engagement to join the highly collaborative Engage team. This role requires a keen eye for detail and will report to the Associate Director, Engagement to support client communications, events, and training efforts.  




  • Managing the editorial and event calendars. 
  • Copyediting email communications, web content, training materials, and more. 
  • Writing and editing posts on WordPress and emails using MailChimp. 
  • Analyzing engagement data to understand client behavior and increase engagement. 
  • Designing graphics for web content and emails using Canva.
  • Scheduling meetings and events. 
  • Supporting event planning efforts and logistics for virtual webinars and in-person conferences. 




  • 2–3 years of experience copyediting and/or writing in a professional environment, whether for a newspaper, communications or marketing department, or related role. 
  • A meticulous eye for detail. 
  • Experience tracking analytics to measure engagement. 
  • Highly organized with the ability to self-start and prioritize a heavy workload. 
  • Desire to work in a highly collaborative environment across departments and functions. 
  • An interest in working across all aspects of the publishing business, from supply chain to sales. 
  • Technologically savvy; experience using WordPress, email marketing software (MailChimp or similar), Adobe Analytics, design tools (Canva or similar), and webinar software (Webex, Zoom, or Teams or similar) is a plus. 
  • Event planning logistics (virtual and in-person) experience is a plus. 
  • Publishing/book industry experience is a plus. 


This is a hybrid position with occasional in-office responsibilities in the weeks leading up to and during in-person events. We will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, which includes the tri-state area (NJ, CT, & PA).


The salary for this position is $58,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
