Sales Manager (Open to Remote)
Join our team as a Sales Manager! The Sales Manager will be responsible for communicating with bookstores within an assigned account territory by phone and email to sell PRH Children’s lines.

Responsibilities:
- Sells children’s frontlist and backlist titles to assigned account base.
- Builds and maintains successful relationships with new and existing customers.
- Keeps abreast of front and backlist titles and industry trends in order to present accounts with titles most appropriate for their consumers.
- Maintains knowledge of Penguin Random House terms of sale, publicity & marketing initiatives, etc. to ensure accounts can benefit from available opportunities.
- Manages database of accounts, account details, and sales figures.
- Communicates and collaborates with Sales Director, publishing colleagues, and sales teams (including sales counterparts) to maximize growth.
- Coordinates with sales management and publishing about orders, inventory, and other related components.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience; retail bookstore experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of and passion for books
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including follow-up
- Proven ability to successfully manage multiple, competing priorities at one time
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Works well independently and in a team setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
- Ability to travel periodically to trade shows, conferences, and accounts as needed
- Experience with SAP and Edelweiss is a plus
The salary for this position is $66,500.00. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
