The DK Sales team is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Assistant / Coordinator to join their team.  This position will offer administrative help to the two sales reps that oversee the DK titles to Amazon, Ingram and Baker & Taylor.


Specific responsibilities include:

1.         Provides general administrative support to account managers as needed (i.e. managing of conference room needs, coordinating the delivery of sales assets, maintains a regular schedule of upcoming sales meetings and key account office visits, etc.

2.         Creates and delivers account specific advertising, catalog and marketing materials based on sales requests.

3.         Assists in positioning relevant frontlist and backlist titles within each account base.

4.         Develops and maintains sales forecasting and data analyzing tools as well as creating regular sales reports.

5.         Produces and coordinates the delivery of sales assets for customer presentations, meetings and trade shows.

6.         Communicates regularly between our key distributors and retailers and Penguin Random House Customer Service, Data Management and Warehouse Operations to ensure accurate and timely delivery of orders.

7.         Develops and maintains a comprehensive knowledge of competitor, consumer, and industry trends.

8.         Attends key account meetings and industry trade shows as needed.

9.         Liaises with the US Marketing & Publicity, Managing Editorial, and other internal groups to maximize sales efforts and efficiencies.


Minimum Qualifications/Requirements (education, experience, skills, knowledge, physical abilities):

•           Minimum of 1-3 years prior office experience, experience within publishing a plus

•           Strong written and verbal communication skills

•           Highly organized with the ability to successfully work on multiple projects at a time and adapt to changing priorities

•           Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
