SAP Senior Business Systems Analyst, Publishing Operations (Open to Remote)

The Publishing Operations team is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst with SAP expertise to join their growing team. This role involves gathering requirements, analyzing data, managing projects, supporting users, and maintaining documentation. It's an excellent opportunity for someone with SAP consulting experience who thrives on solving complex problems.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the SAP MM and PP modules, as well as experience with SAP implementation, customization, and large data set analysis. This is a business analyst role that does not require coding but does require technical fluency and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams. We are looking for someone who can multitask, stay motivated and curious, communicate clearly, and actively contribute to a collaborative team environment.

 

Specific responsibilities include:   

  • Analyze business requirements and design solutions to improve business processes, particularly in the areas of SAP MM/PP modules 
  • Gather and manipulate large data sets to derive insights and drive business decisions 
  • Effectively manage complex, multi-system projects, with diverse stakeholder groups 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are understood and solutions meet business needs 
  • Adapt to changing needs of the business 
  • Conduct functional and technical analysis, create system design documentation, and perform configuration changes in a highly customized SAP system 
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure that solutions are thoroughly tested and meet functional and technical requirements 

 

Please apply if you meet the following qualifications:   

  • 7+ years of experience in business systems analysis or related fields 
    • 3+ years of SAP analyst experience required 
    • Strong preference for experience with SAP MM and PP modules
  •  Advanced Excel required - including the ability to build pivot tables, vlookups, create complex formulas, and data validation
  • Analytical and data-driven, with a logical mindset and the ability to draw and communicate meaningful insights from data
  • Proven experience designing and implementing solutions to optimize business processes
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and organizational levels
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple projects and seek guidance when needed
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, able to thrive both independently and in a collaborative team setting
     


Penguin Random House is headquartered in New York, NY. This position is open to remote candidates who can work primarily on Eastern Time.

 

The salary range for this role is $100,000 – $120,000, commensurate with experience. All positions are currently eligible for an annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company performance.
