Marketing Assistant, Knopf Doubleday (Hybrid)
The Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group seeks an organized, motivated Marketing Assistant to join the team. Reporting to the Senior Vice President & Director, the Marketing Assistant will split their time between supporting the SVP on administrative responsibilities and supporting the Knopf Marketing department on title marketing projects, while also maintaining and reconciling the marketing budget.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Provides daily, in-office administrative support for the SVP of Marketing, including schedule management, coordinating meetings, and creating promotional materials (estimated 40% of role).
• Maintains, reconciles, and provides regular reporting on the marketing budget for the division while attending budget meetings to keep track of and implement changes (estimated 20% of role).
• Supports the Knopf Marketing department on administrative tasks and title marketing projects, including coordinating mailings, research, copywriting, content creation, and more (estimated 40% of role).

• Prior administrative experience; prior publishing experience a plus
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a deadline-driven environment
• Curious, collaborative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with excellent follow-through
• Effective communication skills and ability to establish relationships with stakeholders
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills
• Proficient knowledge of Canva, Photoshop, and PowerPoint is a plus
• Knowledge and/or experience with social media platforms, especially TikTok and Instagram
• Familiarity with the current publishing landscape including trends
• Passionate about book marketing
This is a hybrid position with in-office responsibilities four days a week, which will include but not be limited to organizing in-person meetings, mailing promotional packages, and creating marketing materials. We will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, which includes the tri-state area (NJ, CT, & PA).
The salary for this position is $51,000.00. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
